Safety Info
Towing capacity: Our trailers are heavy duty, they weigh about 250kg and it can be loaded to up to 1500kg. Most towbars on cars are capable of towing between 600kg to 1200kg. We recommend calling us to get an idea of the weight of your load and the capability of your vehicle.
Turn Wider: Towing a trailer is just as easy as driving a car when you are going straight and forward. However your length is almost doubled when towing a cage trailer, we recommended turning corners slower and wider.
Following distance: Double your following distance.
Safe braking: A loaded trailer on the back can make braking a bit different from just driving a car. We recommend braking before entering a corner not while you are in the corner. Braking is much safer and effective when the towing vehicle and the trailer is in a straight line.
Speed Limit: 90km/hour is the open road speed when towing a trailer.
Reversing or U turn: This takes a bit of practice to get it right especially if there is limited space. If you can’t reverse it properly, we recommend unhooking the trailer and pushing it into the right position. We do not recommend doing this when trailer is loaded or there is slope on the road.
